Julie Coogan

Julie Coogan, founder & manager of Tree Of Life Centre, is passionate about all areas of the Holistic approach to health. She holds qualifications in Social Science & Holistic therapies, Anatomy & Physiology & also an Honours BA in counselling & psychotherapy, post graduate studies in neuroscience and body centred Psychotherapy. Julie is also a certified yoga teacher.

Julie set up Tree Of Life in 2006 with a vision to create a centre of Excellence to support the diverse and expanding area of Holistic health for wellbeing. She fully understands how important it is that we take care of ourselves while juggling the varied demands on our time & personal resources. She sincerely advocates how the many branches of Holistic Therapies can enrich & empower us. Together with the Tree of Life team of gifted professional therapists, Julie is dedicated to the pursuit of only the highest standards of ethical practice and care in Complementary therapies.

As well as running the centre Julie also has a private Counselling & Psychotherapy practice in Tree of Life. Her experience spans accross a wide range of presenting concerns, in particular anxiety management and recovery.

In 2013, Julie underwent a Yoga teacher training and also delivers Vinyasa Yoga classes at Tree of Life, with a specific focus on individual attention and correct body allignment.

 

Tatiana Nichfor

Reflexology, Massage Therapies, Mum-to-Be Specialist and Holistic Beauty therapist. 

Tatiana holds Diplomas in Reflexology, Swedish, Holistic and Indian Head Massage as well as diploma in Beauty Therapy.

Over the last 12 years, she has gained extensive experience and knowledge working with holistic therapies. As a former nurse, Tatiana brings a gentle authenticity to her work as well as an immense amount of invaluable wisdom in caring for people through touch. Tatiana follows a work ethic in which she sees her touch coming from a heartfelt place, providing care and tenderness in her treatments. We receive consistent positive feedback from Tatiana's clients who advocate her as a truly gifted therapist. We are dlighted to have Tatiana at Tree of Life as an essential member of our wellness team.

Sheila Kumar

Acupuncture, Specialist in Women's health

Sheila is a graduate of the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland who is affiliated with the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is a World health organisation officially accredited body.Sheila brings a beautiful authenticity to her work by living the values that she espouses. She places a huge emphasis on nutrition and lifestyle and all treatments include consultation with advice.

Sheila is offering acupuncture, specialising in Womens Health and the treatment of Acupuncture for help with fertility, endometreosis, menopause, PCOS, PMS and general promotion of female wellbeing.She is currently undertaking a degree in Nutrition and Functional medicine with the Institute of Health Sciences in Dublin, a postgraduate course in TCM Gynaecology and obstetric lectured by Dr Trevor Wing, and Visceral manipulation courses run by the Barrel institute in Dublin.

Her training and work with clients has given her a wealth of experience dealing with a wide range of both common and unusual illnesses, which has allowed her to gain a greater understanding of what her clients are experiencing and how it can effect them on both on a physical and emotional level. As every person is individual sheila draws on both her knowledge and experience to create a holistic, person centred experience, by using acupuncture together with holistic therapies, nutrition and lifestyle advise, with the aim to bring balance back to the body and mind.

 

Marie Mulligan

BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy Member IACP

Marie graduated from Dublin Business School in 2011 with an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. In continuing her professional development she has participated in workshops on Mindfulness, Addiction, Suicide Prevention and Self Harm. Marie works collaboratively with clients using an integrative approach. She is experienced in working with a wide range of issues and has a particular interest in the area of Addiction, Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention. Marie has a warm, non judgemental approach and is adept in creating essential rapport and trust with her clients.

Annmargaret Nolan

Group facilitator of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction  (MBSR)

M.sc., MBI (Mindfulness-Based Interventions), H. Dip. Leadership and Executive Coaching, Adv. ACT MBI. B.A. (Hons).

Annmargaret specialises in Mindfulness Based Interventions (MBI) and Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), which is a positive psychology methodology that helps people be more present, discover what matters to them and get unstuck in their lives. Annmargaret facilitates various Mindfulness trainings including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) across a variety of contexts including organisational, clinical, educational, community and private practice and specialises in delivering MBSR in a group setting at Tree of Life. 

With a background in HR and Training Education, she has a keen interest in working in corporate environments, using Mindfulness-based approaches to reduce stress and anxiety and increase creativity, innovation and productivity in the work place. She can see a clear link between cultivating Mindfulness and supporting mental health and well-being. Annmargaret works with an eclectic mix of clients including government bodies, health services, educational bodies, Irish-owned and multinational organisations, alongside a robust private practice.

 

 Brian Mullen

Sports Massage, Fitness and Triathlon Coaching.

As a Sports Massage Practitioner, Fitness Coach and Triathlon Coach Brian has several years of experience in working with individuals and professionals on an extensive array of injuries. His wide range qualifications include Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Massage /Injuries, Kinesio Taping, Strength & Conditioning and Fitness Coaching. Brian has proven results in providing pre & post event treatments to prepare your muscles and improve flexibility before the event or reduce your recovery time with a treatment afterwards. He also offers homecare advice such as exercises and nutritional advice for maintaining your optimum performance and overall wellbeing.

Martina Egan

Acupuncture and Craniosacral Therapy

Martina is a registered General and Paediatric trained nurse .It was during her years of nursing patients that she recognised that stress and the emotions can be contributory factors in many diseases.

She trained in Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Indian head Massage, Reiki and Acupuncture. She studied Acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland and continued her studies in the 2nd Affilitated in Nanjing China under the guidance of Dr Han Gu. Martina has completed a course in Abdominal and Cosmetic Acupuncture.

Martina is also a qualified Craniosacral Therapist with the Upledger Institute.

Martina adapts her treatments to the clients needs and may combine treatments if deemed necessary.

 

Aideen Biggins

Aideen Biggins – B.A. (Hon). Deg. Psych., – National University Ireland.
Dip. Counselling and Psychotherapy - IICP.After attaining my degree in Psychology, I went on to embark on a Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy with the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP) in Tallaght. Currently I provide a counselling service to individuals, couples and families. I adopt a Client-Centred, Choice Theory, (CBT) integrated approach and I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorder, addictions, relationship issues, phobias, bullying and anger issues. I continue to attend regular supervision to ensure that only the highest standards are maintained, and I am also committed to my own on-going personal development.

Sinéad O’Brien

I am a professional accredited life Coach, with over 22 years’ experience in coaching, mentoring, education and development. My success is underpinned by a wide skill-set honed through years of guiding and working with people from all walks in life.
